The following hotels are within walking distance to the conference venue. For hotels listed that mention a conference rate, ask for the UQAM corporate rate when you book.

  • L'Appartement Hôtel.
  • Hôtel St-Denis The conference rate is $95 for single occupancy and $115 for double occupancy. Breakfast is included.
  • Armor Manoir Sherbrooke The conference rate is $129 for a Superior room and $149 for a Deluxe room. Breakfast is included. Book before January 13 to get the conference rate.


Plane:Montreal is served by the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport (YUL). From the airport, a taxi to the downtown core costs about $40-$50. More economically, you can take the Airport Express bus 747, which operators 24 hours per day and costs $10 If you pay on the bus, exact fare is necessary coins only!. Otherwise, you can use a credit card at a kiosk in the airport. The closest stop to UQAM is stop number 8 (René Lévesque and Jeanne-Mance).
Bus:Buses arrive and depart from the Station Centrale d'autobus, which is a short walk to/from UQAM. Intercity bus service is offered by Megabus, Coach Canada, Adirondack Trailways, Greyhound.
Train:Trains arrive and depart from the Gare Centrale, which is a short walk to/from UQAM. Train service is provided by Via Rail Canada and Amtrak.

Conference Dinner:

There will be an conference dinner on Saturday night at 6:30. We reserved several tables at the restaurant Nil Bleu, which is a 15-20-minute walk or a short metro ride from the conference venue.
